The Ecobank Personal Banking platform is part of the digital ecosystem of one of Africa’s largest banking institutions, providing customers with access to banking services, financial products, and digital account management. The website presents a wide range of personal banking offerings including accounts, payments, cards and financial solutions through a clear and structured user experience designed to support customers across multiple African markets.
For this project, I was contracted by the London-based digital agency Brand Communications, who were responsible for delivering digital assets for Ecobank’s online presence. My role focused on front-end development, supporting the creation of high-fidelity website templates that could be used across the bank’s digital platform.
The templates were built using HTML5, CSS3 and the Zurb Foundation framework, allowing the development team to implement a flexible, modular layout system suitable for a large enterprise website. The goal of the implementation was to translate detailed design specifications into pixel-accurate, production-ready front-end components that aligned with the bank’s branding and design system.
During development, particular attention was given to clean semantic markup, responsive layout structures and reusable UI components, ensuring the templates could scale across different pages and product sections of the banking platform. This approach allowed the design and development teams to maintain visual consistency while supporting future expansion of the website.
The result was a set of robust, responsive front-end templates designed to support Ecobank’s digital banking experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices. By combining structured front-end architecture with a modern responsive framework, the project contributed to building a reliable and scalable interface for a major international banking institution.
